Yaks and Yurts

This is what was on my teabag. There is a yak in the way of my future. This makes a surprisingly insane amount of sense. Maija and I have concluded that the only thing to do about this is yurt-surf through the Gobi desert and look for yaks. And then move them out of the way. I predict an epically symbolic encounter with a yak someday.

The Best Days

... are fall days filled with being barefoot in the grass with an atlas, a cup of tea, and quality people swapping stories of that time we were in Turkey, Egypt, Switzerland, etc. and wondering what stories we shall have after the next adventure!

Underlining Hostility

This was written on the white board at work.... I think when mother wrote it she was feeling some passive aggressiveness, and wants everyone at work to drop dead. Or this was just way funnier on less than five hours of sleep. we added the emphasis, and quotations around pass, just because we know how much mother loves to add unnecessary quotation marks. :)

I love you, Mom!

Must Love Dogs

I've always been a dog person, but recently I've really loved my dog. I always missed her a ton while I was at school but recently I just want to hug Lilly forever. You see, dogs are like rugs and plants and fish. They are things of permanence. You get them when you settle down into one place, you get them when you are really there, physically and mentally. Lilly is a reminder of the attractive things of stability. Which is why I love her. And why I'm gonna leave when the wind changes.

Mmmmmm...

Collect $200

I really wish someone would give me $200 every time I felt like I was running around in circles.

Number 10 Can of Joy

This is my brother modeling my can of pineapple tidbits. And doritos. Which is not the point of this picture. The pineapple is a thing of beauty and therefore a joy forever. (Thank you, Keats, and the beautiful memories of the sign in that shop in Lugano). I love pineapple. I love that pineapples in a can are preserved in their own juice. I love eating them. And I love my mom, because she got them for me. Also, it's the cheapest way to eat a ton of pineapple. Yay!

Let Loose. Be Inspired.

Sweetest Thing

Installation...Art

...Lots of strange thoughts about this. It's rather interesting that both of these phones had to be installed, but that their purpose is somehow different. One is for looking at....whose idea was that? Anyway...huh.
