I just really like looking at these two right next to each other. Le sigh. Bellisimo.

Il Giradino!
We interrupt this look at my past exciting life to take a look at my present exciting life. For the past several weeks, Kelsey and I have been working on clearing out an extremely overgrown garden with plans to put in some herbs and vegetables and things generally more desirable than decorative grasses. Boo to the decorative grass. (Photos compliments of my mother!)
I find this photo hilarious for many reasons. 1) it looks like I'm stuffing the plant into Kelsey's face. 2) I have a broken windmill growing out of my head. 3) Kelsey is actually trying to smell the plant, but her smeller doesn't work so great. 4) The price of gas shall be forever immortalized.

The Best Photo
On a Train,
Somewhere by the sea in between Marseilles and Nice, France
Somewhere by the sea in between Marseilles and Nice, France
This is, by far, my favorite photo of me and my sister ever. After Nice was not so nice to us, we ate the most delicious magnum bar ever and finally were back on the train. The sun was that lovely late afternoon sun over the Mediterranean. The lady in the seat across from us was speaking abrasively in Italian. We were on the road again. Everything was okay. Much better than okay. Click.

Skikjöring
White Turf- The Champagne Races
St. Moritz, Switzerland
St. Moritz, Switzerland
While y'all were doing whatever it is people do at normal colleges, I was in St. Moritz, watching Skikjöring and horses race on an iced over lake and as they ran past you could hear and feel the ice creak and grown under your feet.
[Being able to say that forever is totally worth every penny of every bill stupid salliemae sends me.]

Find My Way Back
[I've decided to post some pictures of the past... call it a bout of homesickness for the open road, or just enjoying the reasons why I've decided to take this road.. whatever you like. Please enjoy!]
This is a photo of a place that I love. I did not, in fact take this picture. My brother-in-law took it with his super snazzy zoom lens from the top of San Salvatore looking at the church in Gentilino. I chose this picture because with all of these weddings lately, the concept has been on my mind. This is the church in which I want to get married, at least presently. I've momentarily forsaken the idea of riding on the backs of elephants in Thailand...
But please take note of the following awesome things:
1) the awesome trees
2) grape vines! to inspire the drinking of fantastic ticinese wine!
3) cows. brown cows. how now thou brown cow?!
4) Herman Hesse's grave is across the street.
